    Whats the difference between Chirashi and Sashimi ?
    This looks tasty, and I like the colors and contrasts...
    Crab, Octopus, Tuna, Red Snapper, hmm...Yellow tail?

    I think chirashi is just sashimi over a bed of rice. this restaurant uses a delicious type of brown rice called Koshihikari variety. Tasty, healthy stuff.

    I have to help a friend shoot some sushi pictures for their restaurant -- some of the practice shots I tried really didn't turn out well -- the fish just didn't look right. All the other non-sushi plates looked great. Any suggestions on how we can plate it or work with the lighting to make it better?
