this guy is incredible, I bumped into him when he was in Bristol last summer (2006) and he was selling his book/life story to passers by. amazing that he has spent 40 years of his life cycling around the world with at least 500,000 kilometers on that same frame he had since he was a lad.

Nov 26 -- Heinz just left my home here in Denver, Co on Friday, the 23rd.

He has purchased a new "round the world ticket" so that he can see the last few remaining places in the world to satisfy the Guinness book.

I picked him up Nov 22 at the airport following a flight from the Bermuda's (via Miami).

He left Friday afternoon for Parker, CO (just a few miles South from me) to visit another friend, before beginning his journey South to Chile. From there, he will be see Cocos and Christmas Islands (Australia) and Mayotte (Comores) on the way to the South Pacific, cycling in the northwest of Australia, the Karoo in S.Africa, Madagascar, hopefully Southern Sudan and by end of Nov 2008, returning to London.

At 67, he is doing well. He spoke to my folks in Alabama, and he was definitely pumped about his new journey !!
