Explosion of sky above Imperial War Museum North. Explored! and FrontPage!

A brief break from beaches and wet sand with this one..

We were coming home from Trafford’s Museum of Museums, we’d been to see the Tutankhamen exhibition they have, and the sky was looking kind of interesting.

As we passed the Salford Quays I decided that we would pop in to take a couple of snaps, it’s great to find some nice water to double the fun from a good sky when you find them isn’t it.

While this shot is really about the sky, the War museum building is fabulously architected, wonderful lines, curves and nice metallic surfaces, plenty of photo ops for another day, also in shot to right is a new bridge that looks like it is under construction.

At the war museum, you can pay to take a trip to the top viewing platform, which is well worth a look, and entry to the museum is currently free, catch that while it lasts!, is well laid out and makes you think, always leaves me feeling rather emotional, a poignant trip for remembrance.

Remembrance Day 11:00 11/11/18, the official end of World War I. Spare a thought, Lest we Forget the great sacrifice of all involved in bloody war.
