Went to the Botanical Gardens for the Butterflies Go Free/Papillons en liberté exhibition. Cringed when we saw fleets of yellow school buses in the parking lot but, as luck would have it, and by the time I managed to figure out the parking meter thing, they had left. Still crowded but not as much as last year. Went earlier too in the hopes of seeing more varieties of butterflies but it was not the case. Mostly Paper Kites (or Rice Paper) as evidenced by the photos and as usual, the Blue Morphos were playing their "catch me if you can" game flying but never landing. Did manage to get some decent photos of them though... considering I took about 400 or so and ended up with about 30-40 of what I consider decent. No worries, I won't be posting all of them. Not quite. Thanks to my partner in butterfly catching for coming along. One thing I think we were both grateful for is the fact that despite being in abundant numbers, the Atlas Moths were not flying around. If they had been, I dare say we would have had a stampede on our hands...
