African Swine Fever (05510239)

African Swine Fever is a highly contagious disease that can cause a devastating impact on small-scale pig farmers and can be transmitted from pigs to humans. The IAEA trained veterinary scientists from the National Veterinary Laboratory (LANAVET) in Yaoundé, Cameroon, to use nuclear-derived technology to quickly detect the presence of this virus. Early diagnosis helps farmers ensure they are better prepared to respond at the first sign of a disease. 3 March 2017
