    Aldo Malavasi, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications, together with Jorge Hendrichs and Konstantinos Bourtzis of the Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture, briefs members of the press on how the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT), can help control the "Zika" mosquito populations. This technology can be part of a Member States' integrated mosquito control programme to deal with the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes that can carry Zika as well as Dengue and Chikungunya viruses. The press briefing took place at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria on 2 February 2016.
