Barred Owl I
A barred owl was hit on M-28, the deathtrap of a road that runs between Marquette and Munising. By the time I got to it, much of the owl was obliterated, save for a wing, tail, and the feet.
This is frustrating to me on so many levels. It's sad when we see more animals dead on the side of the road than we do alive, in nature. I've never seen or heard a wild barred owl before.
