Egypt at sunset

    Newer Older

Captured on Manfrotto tripod with my Canon G10, three exposures with AEB from -2 to +2. First processing in Photomatix pro, fusion with originals in Ps CS4 and further modifications with Topaz Adjust plug-in and Photoshop.

Picture of the Debod Temple in Madrid, taken on an average afternoon. An egyptian temple moved to Madrid in the 1970s and reconstructed as a gift to the spanish state for helping save the temples of Abu Simbel. Near Madrid's royal palace it is said to provide Madrid's best sunsets.

great job with capturing the reflection. in my opinion something seems off with the way the subject is positioned in the photo, but everything else looks good. I love the lighting.

      Thanks brian!
the weird positioning is to give the photo some extra interest, it looked too perfect to me with the subject and reflection just each side of the middle + it accentuates the water

Good pic!... BTW, why didn't you mention it was taken in Madrid? That's the Debod temple, moved from Egypt to Madrid as a present from that country.

I put it on in the tags, but might as well write a description

Cool shot. I also thought it may be leaning, but it looks like you lined up the reflection with the edge of the frame instead of the top of the object. I like it offset to the side.

Looks very natural for a HDR work. Great job.

      Seen in Photomatix.

A nice image that would be a lot better if it was level? It is all running down to the right sadly :(
