Hartford Youth Art Renaissance 2012
The Hartford Youth Art Renaissance emerged as a community art contest in 1973 and has been an annual event for 39 years! Since 1980, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art has proudly co-sponsored and hosted this exhibition in collaboration with Hartford Public Schools. Student artwork will be showcased this year at the Wadsworth Atheneum (grades 7-12) and the downtown branch of the Hartford Public Library (PreK-grade 6) during the month of May.

This Flickr set is dedicated to the many wonderful and talented young artists of Hartford, who submitted work to the exhibition. It includes drawings, paintings, graphic art, photography, ceramics, and 3D sculptures. Enjoy and be inspired by the creativity of our community's youth.

Be sure to stop by each location to read students' labels that expound upon the artistic inspiration for the creation of their artwork.
