Deadly embrace

We are in South Africa. To be more precise, in the Mala Mala Game Reserve; a private park west of Kruger National Park.

We had just arrived at the wonderful Rattray's Camp, our home for 7 days, and went out on game-drive with ranger Andrew and tracker Philemon. We were watching 3 White Rhinos when all of a sudden Philemon hissed: "Drive... !! Fast!!". He had heard the alarm calls of impala and knew there had to be a predator on the prowl. We drove as fast as we could into the direction he pointed in; just in time to see a baby impala breathe out his last breath between the mighty jaws of a cheetah..

Will try and update you regularly during the next 2 weeks but we also would like to be out in the bush as much as possible. So if I'm not able to post again before ; Have a wonderful happy Christmas everyone!!
