The Redeemer

We were in Myvatn, a lake in the North of Iceland. The Icelandic word Myvatn, means musquito lake. Well, that's an understatement! :-) Don't know what the Icelandic word for 'MANY musquito lake" would be, but it would be more appropriate.

When I saw this picture back on my camera, the pose immediately reminded me of the beautiful statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio.

Happy 4th of July everyone! As it's my birthday, hubby's taking me out to dinner now (in truth the fridge is empty so he's afraid he won't get any food otherwise... :-))

See you all later!
