New planters for the garden.

    Newer Older

Last week I replaced the tires on my Camry and salvaged the old ones for container gardening. Each Tires holds 2.25 Cubic Feet of soil. Comparable size planters would easily cost $30 to $40 each so I figure in addition to them not ending up in the landfill, I saved roughly $150.00 on planters that will out live me :)

I used the kind of spray paint made for outdoor plastic furniture. It covered really well.

Curious, what did u use for the bottom, so the soil don't falls out? Love this look. I have two tires that I had asked from a tire store last year for my 4 y/o Race Car Themed birthday party. Never got around to throw them away. This will be perfect.
