About this photo:

This is not a good photo as it should be but I learned how this turned out, and Im hoping to capture photos like this much better next time.

I have read about in the internet that the best time to capture the nice blue colors of the sky during sunset is about 10 to 30 minutes after sunset. I am wary about that time as I am thinking that it is so dark already. In this photo, when you see the EXIF, the time I captured this is 6:26PM. The sun set at 6PM.

When I captured this photo, the area was already dark and just a little blue was left in the sky. But I was amazed how Nikon turned out more blue in this photo. No, I have not edited the colors, it is SOOC or Straight Out Of the Camera.

Another thing I learned is much better if I captured this photo in a tripod with maybe 5 seconds shutter speed. But this is handheld and the photo is not as clear.

Last thing I learned is at low light D5000 has a lot of noise. It may be much clearer photo if this scene was captured by an FX camera like the D700 which is much better to handle noise in low light conditions, because FX cameras has a bigger Image Sensor of 36mm x 24mm , compared to DX cameras like mine with only 24mm x 16mm. The bigger the Image Sensor, the bigger the pixels to capture light.
