      Looks like you were in the large ring rear . Too much stress from too short a chain or just a defect in the derailleur. As long as it did not result
      in any further damage to you or the bike an easy fix.

      There are all sorts of weird things going on in a travel case so who knows. I had a small bottle of White Lightning freeze/unfreeze and change at the molecular level. I was hoping it would result in a miracle lube that increased mileage or something, but nope.

      I think the break is a reminder how fragile gear can be when it gets banged around. The travel bike has one big patina and scratches are part of it. Makes me think that if a part gets a large enough dent or scratch, time to replace it.

      And another reason why I don't travel with carbon parts.
