BEST STUDIO ON GULF COAST--FREE RENT AND PRIVACY
The last time I was down on the beautiful Gulf coast, I was wandering down one of the beaches that is evidently seldom seen by the general public.
I later learned it has been closed for nearly 5 years to protect a certain species of beach flora, a rare type of sea oats. I had no knowledge that the beach was closed. That there were any beaches closed for environmental purposes was news to me, though I could understand that some might be closed. I had no problem with the closure, it was not in my back yard. In fact, as I looked around and about, it was not near any residential areas. Standing and looking toward the blue-green horizon, I became absorbed in the sound and serenity of such a scene. I wandered on down the sandy beach for what seemed like miles. Birds of the beach scooted about, hardly conscious of my presence--it was like they had no fear of man--or woman.
