DENVER URBAN RENEWAL BEGINS 1958
Lately, my mind has been on a short trip, an interval of time spent in Denver when I was just 16 years old. Tired of the routine, I boarded a bus from Kansas City, Missouri to Denver, Colorado. Although I was still in high school, I felt like I needed a slice of life, the life I would soon become a part of as soon as school was over and done.
My trip was a lot of fun and now serves as a favorite gem that sparkles in this old man's memory. It is truly amazing how one can restore one's youth by some intens meditation, focusing on one or two people or places. Soon, the entire scene becomes alive; the sounds, the smells, the very feeling of one's youth fill one's veins. This is a good memory.
