Mysterious Stonehenge

Stonehenge is located near Salisbury in the English county of Wiltshire and stands as strong today as it did 3500 years ago. One of the most famous places in the world to visit, Stonehenge was built in three phases that consisting of over 30 million hours of labor.

There are no written records as to why Stonehenge was built. However, there are theories. Some believe it was a place of dying, while others a place of healing. Many thought that it is a solar calendar that predicted the sunrise, sunset, eclipse, moonsets and moonrise. Or perhaps a place of worship. It is because of this that Stonehenge remains a mystery.
