I decided against going for another run and read my book instead. The restless sleep and the time change were certainly taking their toll on me. At one point during the class, I could not wrap my brain around something that I normally do with ease so I had to ask Denyse to show me. I also kept thinking that I'm pretty certain that I would have never picked oyster on my own, but I'm glad I asked Blair. It really is perfect.
The Hawaiian barbecue place was a hidden gem - so delicious. I'm certain I wouldn't have gone there on my own.
I felt like I made good progress on my blocks although I had hoped to have more to take home.
When the class was over, Blair headed home. Melissa picked me up and I hung out with her and Annie and the kids. Manny wanted me to tickle him so I did. And then it was August's turn. M and P are doing it right - all four of those children are gems.
After M dropped me at the hotel, I walked around a bit and shopped for care package things for the girls. I sat at the bar at Clyde Commons, finished my book and ate truffle popcorn and a beet salad with a glass of rose. I took another glass up to my room where I packed and watched Olympics.
It was much quieter at the Ace, but I still didn't sleep well, worried about getting up in time for my flight.
Best birthday present ever, this weekend. Thank you, Fatty for making it happen.
