Sewing for Licca: Licca & Miffy
I was testing out some fabric paint for this Miffy jersey t-shirt I've made for Licca recently and it turned out pretty cute! ^^ The outline of little Miffy is an iron-on and the insides I've painted with a faint "pearl effect" paint and sprinkled some gold shimmer on his yellow tee (see close-up in comments). Aww, Miffy made a 'test' t-shirt look a lot sweeter! Now Licca wants to keep it. >.<;
While the t-shirt has mistakes as usual (dang, super soft jersey isn't easy to work with but it's perfect for that off-the-shoulder look I tried on Licca and I love wide sleeves), I did better with the shorts and socks. ^^ All three are from a Doll Coordinate Recipe #10 pattern. The shorts needed some changing because the original had unfinished edges on the bottom and a lot more decorative stitching since it was meant for denim. I used some stiffer cotton and it worked just fine! For socks I went with shimmery stretchy fabric in a silver color.
I love Licca's little miniatures here! Sugarbunnies are among my fave Sanrio characters (the pink one is Momousa and the yellow one is Hanausa) and, of course, there are the cutey Wanroom cups with doggie faces.
The model is a Castle Licca in a minty/baby blue haircolor, it changes depending on the light. :D She wanted her own outfit for her first real photoshoot and she's a dear for accepting my beginner sewing work with a smiling face, aww.
