"Oooh, let's have a tea party!"
My newest girl! :)
8" / 20 cm tall cloth covered wire doll with bendable limbs and a composition head. Made by Baitz of Austria (later Germany) in the 40's or 50's I think. The girl's a souvenir doll with a soft mohair wig, a cute painted face and a long flower-patterned dress and umbrella.
Her face is dirty and dusty due to aging and some of the paint on the lips and eyelashes has chipped off, but she is otherwise in good condition and with the company's paper tag still intact. Isn't her face adorable? I call it the "Oooh face".
She, along with a bunch of vintage wooden dollhouse furniture, was a recent present from my dad . :) I love her tiny eyebrows, sideways glancing eyes and feet and arms made of felt! Aww.
