Galapagos Hawk!!

View On Black

In The Galapagos Islands, this red tail hawk is called "Galapagos Hawk"!! It is very rare, I was told by the tour guide, that the hawk makes an appearance when tourists are around. He usually makes an appearance twice a year and never for a long time, just a fly over!!! But this guy stayed with us and posed for me. Usually I am scared of my own shadow, but for the sake of photography, I become a "dare devil". I went very close to him talking to him in Armenian, I swear this guy must have studied in an Armenian school, he was doing exactly what I was telling him to do (unless those are things birds do in that sequence, LOL!!) "Turn left, turn right, up, down, flap wings now fly, stOOOOp, look at me, one more time, one more!! That's it". Even Mario, the tour guide laughingly said: " Now, we need a translator for him to understand us!!!
