Granite Mountain Hike
check out the video:
I'm going to climb Picacho Del Diablo, the tallest peak in Baja, Mexico next week with my brother Jeff from Utah. So I went on this training hike to prepare. Granite mountain tops out at 5600 feet and the climb is about 3000' of vertical so it's an all day hike. It was especially interesting because it was in the middle of a cold storm and it's the desert where it rarely rains, never mind snow. So I was hiking in the snow near the peak and rain in the lower elevations. It was a real challenge and great to be out in the extreme weather.
