a living 'wall'

Our daughter ans son-in-law inspecting the succulent 'wall' at Flora Grubb, a new nursery in San Francisco. This is constructed of special trays that I hope to learn more about at the upcoming SF Flower & Garden Show this month. The planting is primarily Sempervivums, with a few Echeverias and Crassulas here and there.

Gorgeous! You won't want to miss the garden being made by Organic Mechanics, a whole house made of walls like these! Here is a short video about the special trays that might be helpful.

Flora does great vertical gardens. I have featured a few of her installations.

Cool! Makes me want to try one. Are you familiar with the work of Frenchman Patrick Blanc? He also does vertical gardens and has developed a structural and watering system for his green "walls".
