grass and water and sky
This is a pond I stumbled upon while trying to find a way to break into Nine Guns at Sandy Hook. It was a day of discoveries.
Anyone know what that grass is called? I used to know. I love the stuff. It's all over the place here in NJ. I love the sound it makes in the wind, the way it sways, the way it can look like waves in the ocean when you see the wind passing through fields of it, the way the light hits it, the way it's always the same in every season. And it makes an excellent cat toy but can get a bit messy when the cat shreds the thing.
I think this is Phragmites australis.
I delete comments with graphics. Nothing personal, but they make me itch.
