It's Lotta Mackrelmint!
eeeps so for the longest time now, I've wanted to create a bjd as an homage to Pippi Longstocking.
But I didn't want little Pippi - I wanted a grown-up-ish Pippi - older than the irrepressible, independent 9 year old of the books but not as dark as Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (whose character was partly inspired by Stieg Larssen's notion of a grown up Pippi)
I knew I wanted her to be a minifee but I've spent the last year and a half looking at different minifee sculpts trying to work out which one. I also knew that I wanted Xhanthi to do the faceup. I'd pretty much narrowed it down to Luka and Mirwen - Luka a bit of a lighter happier Pippi and Mirwen slightly more serious. But I just couldn't make a decision and then this girl popped up on the MP and made the decision for me : )
She's freaking awesome - I need to get her some eyes that will do her faceup justice - the only spare eyes I had in the right size were these awful acrylics.
And as for the name - pippi's full name is Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter Longstocking so we're going for Lotta Mackrelmint.
