Farmers Market Mural 37-52
This summer my friend Melissa's daughter came up with a project to cover an ugly wall across the street from the town library in Lubec, Maine. Mara designed a garden scene that used a huge tarp as it's canvas and was done completely in colored duct tape! It was a huge undertaking and after Melissa and she did the initial outline, the tarp was taken into town and laid out for the kids in the area to place the duct tape pieces on the tarp. The cutting of the duct tape was problematic in itself and the mural took many hours to complete! A good time was had by all. The mural has been taken down now for the winter with some repair needed. I took this shot the evening before it was taken down. There was heavy fog and low light but I think it gives a good idea of what the mural actually looks like!
