fishing in cape coast, ghana

The wall on the left is the British post for slave trade. Now, it's an active fishing village. The slave and other trades are interesting when you learn the actuall situation; it is not like the white people came and stole everything. It was africans selling off africans. They used and traded slaves themselves, so it was natural for them to sell some off to the white guys. The british traders complain that those Ashanti people never tell them where they get their gold and slaves...
