Point Reyes Hostel
This 70,000-acre National Park is a geological island in time, protected from the modern world less than an hour away. Here you'll discover sandy and rocky beaches, saltwater and freshwater marsh, pine and fir forests, and riparian, coastal prairie, and scrub -- all home to a diverse population of wildlife.

Our secluded retreat is a perfect base camp for hiking and biking, kayaking on Tomales Bay, or strolling on a beautiful beach. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife, as well as the Point Reyes Lighthouse and various visitor centers with ranger-led programming. The tiny town of Point Reyes Station, 8 miles away, offers excellent dining and shopping.

The only lodging available within the boundaries of the National Seashore, our hostel is a peaceful, relaxing retreat for travelers of all ages. We have two historic ranch buildings, as well as a new "green" addition built to LEED Silver standards. Guests are accommodated in shared dorms or private rooms, and enjoy comfortable lounges with park views, as well as fully equipped guest kitchens. In addition, the Point Reyes Hostel is a certified green business, committed to promoting environmentally responsible travel.
