Bananas Foster - FOOM!
A while ago there was a "Great Hotels" episode on the Travel Channel about the Grand Californian @ Disneyland. The lady made a stop at the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. She had "Bananas Foster" at the end of her meal, and she said something of the effect that the dish was one of the great gifts to mankind...
Last night, we had dinner at the Jazz Kitchen and I told my friends we had to have Bananas Foster. They had never heard of it, but once I mentioned fire, they were in.
When the waitress asked if we wanted anything else at the end of our meal, Tony pointed at me and said something like, "She said something about flaming bananas."
As you can see, they made it by our table and it was quite an event. We all and a taste... Jumping Hay-Seuss on a pogo stick but it really IS what ambrosia must taste like.
