Fantastic shot of a stately old home place. I knew it was yours as soon as I saw it in the thumbnails Mark. It bears your distinctive dark tones and beautiful background light.

I thought this looked familiar and after going back through your stream I remember now, it's the place with the very cool arch window above the front door. That circular attic vent is pretty incredible, too, wow. That colorful sky sure makes a nice back drop for the old place, so nice.

Great shot. Lighting steals the show. Also, how could a beautiful house like this be left abandoned?

    Thanks everybody!

I think it's abandoned because the owners just don't want it and they don't want to part with the land...

    Wow! This is beautifully shot..
Stunning. I wonder what it looked like before it was taken to ruins..
I should like to know the history of something like that about the family and such and I bet there's a cemetery somewhere on the propertiy

You got the last of the light and I like the framing by the tree. A grand old ruin!

How did I ever miss this. Powerful house! A place when I eventually get back to N.C. within the next 5 years I will have to visit. Hope its still there. Great shot!

    Thanks, everybody!

You might want to hurry. May not be much left in 5 years.
