C/2015 V2 Johnson in Hercules May 3, 2017

The comet had two tails, fan-shaped dust tail toward northwest and faint ion tail toward south southwest. North is to the left upper corner.

The object was low at the site in southern hemisphere. The height was 16.7 degrees at the beginning and 10.7 degrees at the end of the imaging session. Darkness of the site helped, though it was in the reddish light dome over Antofagasta about 100km away north.

This frame, 2,612 x 1,741 pixels was cropped of the original, 5,760 x 3,840 pixels, and it is comparable to a frame taken with a telescope of focal length 700mm.
