The Hippie photos censored by Apple and Facebook
These photographs were taken in 1970 in the Thy-camp in Denmark by the acclaimed Danish photographer Gregers Nielsen.

They were used in a book documenting the history og the hippie-movement in Denmark written by the prize winning non-fiction author Peter Øvog Knudsen.

It became two books which were published in Denmark and became best-sellers.

Apple refused to sell the books on iStore calling the photos in them pornography. It created a heated debate in Denmark and in other countries as to who decides and how it is decided, what is to be censored in history books.

The Danish Case is the name given to the case when it was taken up in the EU parliament.
