Tempe Healing Field - A Tribute To The Lives Lost On September 11th, 2001
***Edit as of 9/3/14: I just realized that only about 2.5 minutes of my video actually uploaded here on Flickr, not very happy about that when it's actually 9 minutes and 11 seconds in length. If you would like to see the full version, please take a look at my Vimeo profile located here: vimeo.com/104852948 ***
Since 2003 the Tempe Exchange Club host an Annual Healing Field® flag display for residents of the greater Phoenix area at Tempe Beach Park. The memorial of 3,000 American flags along with an attached card listing a name and brief biographical information will be on display this year from September 10th through September 15th. More information on the memorial can be found here: healingfield.org/tempe14/
This video was something I had put together in 2013, however I never got it finished until later in the year so I wanted to save it and post it this year on September 1st as a way to honor all the lives lost on 9/11/01. This was really my first time doing any type of videography (outside of time-lapse) so I must admit there are several mistakes and terrible focus pulls all throughout but my goal was really just to try and put something together that would be seen as a small tribute to the lives lost that dreadful day.
All the footage including the time-lapse footage in the beginning was shot on my previous camera, a Nikon D800 and a 24-70mm lens. It was then put together using Lightroom, LRTimelapse, as well as Final Cut Pro. The audio that accompanies the video is from back in 2001 that I found on the internet in the days and weeks after September 11th. I unfortunately don't remember that far back as to the specific websites I obtained them from.
