Off the Oneonta Path

The hike, if you can call it that, to Oneonta Falls is absolutely amazing, especially right now with the water level at its lowest. It's not nearly as accessible during the winter and spring, but right now you can walk along the rock walls all the way to the waterfall, which is upstream from the far more well-known Oneonta Gorge. The image here shows just one of the innumerable small cascades and deep pools below the upper falls.
