"Eternal love" in a padlock
Rome, Ponte Milvio. The “padlock” tradition (which comes from a book by Federico Moccia called Ho Voglia di Te) wants lovers to lock the padlock, with their initials written on it, on the lamppost of the bridge and throw the key into the Tiber.
The locks were stolen between 2-3 of March but new set of locks are observed again...
A check ordered by city officials showed the locks posed no threat to the stability of the lamppost. But officials are looking for an alternative site amid fears the bridge may be damaged.
