Chesil's Sunset Stretch
Chesil Beach, a huge ridge of shingle and pebbles over eight miles long, stretches north-westwards towards the setting sun. Taken from Portland Heights above the terraced houses of Fortuneswell. A low bank of cloud on the horizon obscured the last of the sun and there wasn't as much colour as I'd have liked, but in doing so the light was diffused enough to keep the composition balanced. It's the middle of June but was still pretty cold up here where the wind never stops blowing.
