1950s Yellow Glasbake Hottle Classic Wheat Pattern
Here's something you may not have ever seen before.
Hottles are carafes used to keep beverages hot or cold. Glasbake Hottles were used during the passenger train era and in the hotel industry. The beverage would be poured into the Hottle Bottle and placed on top the cup (thus the shape) to warm the cup as it sat on the tray, then the tray would be served to the passenger or guest.
