FedEx electric delivery truck

    Newer Older

This is a brand new electric delivery truck run by FedEx. It was parked outside the Los Angeles Community College District headquarters building at Wilshire Boulevard and Flower Street in Downtown L.A.'s Financial District.

There were no builder's marques on it.

I read about these, but this is the first I've seen them. It makes sense for local delivery trucks that have well defined routes each day. You know how far you can go on a charge. It still doesn't work for any sort of long-haul vehicle.

In this case, it contributes to lessening L.A. pollution, so that's a good thing. (How nice would it be to have all of the container ships that anchor off of Long Beach go electric? Not holding my breath on that, though.)
