Star Trails over Greith

Stars paint colorful trails in the sky abobe the small church in Greith (Styria, Austria) which dates back to about 1200 AD. In it's current form, the church in late Gothic style was built in the 15th century. The reddish illumination of the walls of the church is from the grave candles in the cemetery which surrounds the church. Above the church, the trail of the carbon star TX Piscium can be seen, which is one of the reddest stars in the sky.

Stack of 107 individual frames, each of 30 seconds exposure time (Canon EOS 550D, ISO 800, 16mm, f/4.0), resulting in a total exposure of 53,5 minutes. Due to the dark time between the individual snapshots, the total time covered is 60 minutes.
