Poseidon Tatt - Jake

Benefit for International Sustainable Institute 2011

Haute Trash Fashion Shows

Costume Designer: Bill Gaylord

Model: Jake Derry

Temptu body paint for a Poseidon costume. This design was developed in tandem with Bill Gaylord, who created and designed a costume called "The Vortex" for the ReStore's annual Trash Fashion Show. Bill's costume was amazing - Poseidon arising out of a sea of plastic garbage, his trident impaling the world. See it here:

The actual design itself was inspired by the amazing blackwork tattoos of Roni Zulu -- you can find him on Facebook at:

Since two people "played" Poseidon, I redid the design 3 different times, each time changing it slightly. On some of the designs you can see traces of watercolor pencil where I drew out basic proportions.

I used TEMPTU PLATINUM but mixed the color to get a genuine tribal tattoo color.
