Anna: nice to meet you!

Hi, I'm Anna.

I'm a Galgo Espagnol, a Spanish greyhound, from Sevilla.

Here's my story.

I was born about 2 years ago in the pack of a 'galgero', a hunter. But I guess I wasn't good enough for him. Just like many, many other galgo's I was fired and kicked out on the street. After some time humans found me on the city garbage dump and brought me to a dog shelter north of the city, Refugio Escuela de Sofia. From there galgo's go to sister shelters in Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia and... The Netherlands, I was selected to go there. On the 10th of August I was picked up, together with a lot of other dogs. A short movie was made of our departure from Sevilla to The Netherlands, you can see it here:

In this movie after 15 seconds I'm the dog in the upper lefthand corner of the frame.

In The Netherlands I was first taken in by a very nice lady in the town of Uden, and then I was adopted! My new humans had happened to see my photo and my story on the website of 'Greyhounds Rescue Holland':

After some formalities and talks I could finally go to my new home in Paterswolde.

Last Saturday, October 1, was the big day.

Here I am. The new dog on the block of the Hooiweg.

Nice to meet you all!
