Cuba: anti-US billboard 2005
The US and Cuba haven't been friends ever since Fidel came to power in 1959. Around the 'US Interests Office' on the Malecón in Havana the Cuban authorities place billboards to protest US policy. The local nickname of this area is 'protestódromo'.
This particular billboard protests against the war in Iraq. It features blow-ups of photo's from the Abu Ghraib prison where inmates were tortured by US soldiers. It was put up for an anti-imperialist protest.
