- cross-processed Kodak E-B 3 slide film (ISO 100, over-exposed 1 stop)
- exposed with a 50mm lens for 1/30s
okay, so today i wanted to try out freezing bikers in their motion while blurring the background. never tried that before.
i shot two rolls within a couple of minutes. again, this is the only good shot for today. the first roll turned out to be total garbage. either AGFA RSX II doesn't give itself to cross-processing or i screwed up somewhere.
shortly after i started shooting the second roll a fellow photographer showed up and we started chatting a little. he told me that i had to shoot faster, otherwise my subject would be blurry, too. at least 1/125s, he said.
big mistake. all subsequent shots are really frozen, no blur whatsoever except a little out-of-focusness, because of the larger aperture. d'oh.
about the film. i think it has okay colors when cross-processed, although it is a little greenish, so beware of anything grey. i particularly like the skin color this film gives. everybody has a nice, tanned look. also, i think it has a nice grain, it's not as strong as e.g. fuji sensia. on the other hand, it is totally unforgiving about the exposure. i matrix-metered and the only good shots are at +1 stop over-exposed. +/- 0 is much too dark and +2 is way overblown.
