Get Pushed Round 9 Shot from the hip
My challenge for you will be to do a street shot "from the hip". Basically, with your camera at waist level, you shoot upwards, without looking through the viewfinder – so your subjects don't know they are being photographed and so that you can catch a great candid from an interesting perspective :)
Originally I thought yey....I can do this...had a bash before....but, oh no siree this is much harder than I thought !! I have tried quite a few subjects and took zillions of shots, mainly sky and floor with very few usable shots....sigh...but on Saturday when I took little Justine to the swings in Williamsons Park I got this shot which I quite liked.
The family in the centre were great for a source of entertainment and whilst Justine was happily running around I noticed them...dad stood with his hands on hips and mum bent down at the buggy, the little girl had fiery red hair and a little temper to match, after dad was done running around playing hide and seek and throwing her into the air, then onto the slide it was home time....followed was her stamping her foot and pointing her finger and refusing to go, all that was missing was a full on paddy and throwing herself on the floor. Very amusing...for me at least !!
This was a hard Push but a good one and I will definitely be trying this again...so thank you Elodie and can't wait to see your post.
Thanks for stopping to view, comment and if you like fave, all are very much appreciated and help so much when learning new things :o)
