Catherine Wheel Hot Pad Back

Pattern: Noro Catherine Wheel Scarf (rav link-free pattern) for the Catherine Wheel stitch, then messing around for the edging

Yarn: Ellan.com's Sonata DK weight cotton- 2.8 oz. total

Hook: 2.5mm

The pattern I used, which is a scarf pattern, is great! I've semi-known how to crochet since I was a kid, but I've never really been sure I was putting the hook through the right hole, I only know the stitches that the particular patterns I've used called for, etc., so I appreciate a well-written pattern. This is one. Go snag it, it's free, and the scarf is beautiful!

For the potholder swap people, this is a two-sided potholder. The sides were crocheted together and then an edging was put on (some single crochet and three-stitch dc puff) and that's it. The DK weight yarn plus double thickness isn't too much, as I feared. It seems really nice.

I keep forgetting to put hanging loops on these. I cut the red yarn and went d'oh!
