The Cancer project - final image

Real life

*** UPDATE ** September 3rd, 2008

After removing another cancer spot from her lung and lumph nodes in April, so far, the doctors don't think the cancer has spread. They found a small spot on her colon and on her lymph node in her chest, but so far, one has turned up as nothing, and the other in her chest - we are still waiting for the next 3 month mark, but she's feeling and looking wonderful!

This portrait is of my mom, who I asked to be part of The Cancer Project since she is a cancer survivor of a rare form of melanoma. She had a chunk taken out of her back which I think is the most beautiful badge of courage I have ever seen.

I think this is the image I'm going to submit. I hope she likes it ;-)

She finds out her results this Friday (she's worried that the cancer might have spread because the last time, they found a spot on her lung) she's a fighter and I know that no matter what, she will pull through, but please keep us in your thoughts.

February 28, 2008 will feel like the longest day ever...
