I've always loved clouds and find I get bored very quickly with clear blue skies. Luckily (for me) we don't get too many of those in the UK! I was able to gaze at this gorgeous sky for quite a long time as I waited at Oban for the ferry to the Isle of Mull.

In case anyone's interested, cirrus clouds are the highest of the ten main groups of clouds and they're composed entirely of ice crystals. These beautiful clouds could be as much as 8 miles above us.
