Dusty
Dusty is one of my next door neigbour's three cats. She was sitting on an old dustbin behind the hedge at the bottom of my garden and had good reason, as it turned out, to look a little nervous.
As you can see in the photo below, her sister Smudge had crept up on her and was about to jump up and push her off the bin. Smudge is a bit of a bully!
I deliberately leave the area behind between the hedge and a small stream at the bottom of my garden to grow wild. It's full of nettles, brambles, bracken and all sorts of things that insects and small animals like. As you can probably see in the photo below, my neighbour has put in a short piece of fencing which allows hedgehogs and other small animals to get through from one garden to the next. There's also a way through on the other side. The edge of the stream is like a little highway for animals.
