      In answer to your question - pipecleaners. The candles are a bit wobbly but that adds to the character.

      farmerjulie.......... I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like, then just made the various bits and pieces and sewed or crocheted them together.
      Two circles, a long stripey rectangle with bobbles (cherries), little flowers for icing decoration, embroidery and french knitted candles with pipecleaners.
