Sankt Michaelis (commonly known as the Michel) is one of Hamburg's five main churches. It is 132m tall and was built in 1786. On the spire there's a publicly accessible observation platform, which offers a great view over the city and the harbor (even at night - see www.nachtmichel.de/).
The building on the right is the main office building of the publishing house Gruner + Jahr (Stern, Geo, P.M. Magazin, ... )
This picture was taken back in 2005 with my good old EOS 20D and depicts one of my first attempts in blue hour photography.
